Here's why...
Just a guy going to work. Oh, and some critical facts about why you (and everyone else) should be biking more.

ROAM -- trailer
By The Collective. Their first film is one of the most beautifully filmed mountain bike movies I've seen. Watch it, at the very least, just for the final scene.

London Calling
A high speed alleycat through the streets of London. There's so much wrong here - no helmets, blatant disregard of traffic, and so on and so on. But, of course, that's what makes it fun.

The Fruita Experience
This one can't be embedded in a flash-based viewing option, but neither can it be missed.
The Fruita Experience (right-click and save as -- the mpg file is 105MB in size)
By Pete Fagerlin
This is one of those movies that will inspire you to try something new; if you've never ridden the trails of Fruita, CO, you'll want to after watching this.

Twofer Tuesday (part deux)
I can't imagine the wrestling match of steering. Try not to come across any unexpected potholes, k?

Sheldon Brown 1944-2008
The cycling world has lost an amazing ambassador. I never had occasion to meet, speak to, or even email Sheldon Brown, although I have haunted some lists to which he would sometimes post. But, like many other cyclists I learned a lot from him by reading his site. His knowledge, wisdom and passion for cycling are inspiring. Thanks for everything, Sheldon.

Really Fast Folding Bike
Yes, this is basically an ad for a Bike Friday folding bike, albeit unbranded and only :16 long. But I have passing interest in folders and this pretty remarkable, so I hope you'll forgive me.

Bike. It's Patriotic.
I'd forgotten about this one until it showed up on the Commute by Bike blog last week. Sure, he's not wearing a helmet, and there may be other things that can be said to disparage the clip ("it's advertising," "it's beer," "it's good|mediochre|bad beer," etc), but there is a lot to commend in it as well. Kim, a commenter on Commute by Bike, put it really well;
"...it’s a seriously great message in a lot of ways. Look at that guy- beer gut and cheap handlebar basket, flannel and a who-cares-brand mountain bike. There’s nothing unapproachable about this.
"He’s not a granola-muching vegan or a lycra-clad triathlete on a titanium road machine. He’s not a hipster on a fixie. He’s not a kid out playing (although that’s cool, too). He looks like your neighbour. He looks like the people we want more of on bicycles. It’s so everyday and no-big-deal; it’s perfect."
Amen.
